I might as well start with a real show stopper! Here it is in the repairman's own words!
This is the email from Trent:

Here is a before photo of the Catalina that I ressurected/ modified. As you can see it was on its way to the dumpster when I got it.
Why someone had cut that hole in the top is
beyond me. If you look closely along the lower bout you can see that the
sides were
coming apart from the top.

Here is a photo of My Harmony. This thing came into my hands as the most abused Catalina that the world has ever known.
Covered in Flat black paint with a 3 inch hole in the top. All in all I removed the top, filled the hole and rebraced it for electric playing, Reset the neck, Replaced the fingerboard (which was broken) with a Cocobolo one I made with a 12" inch radius and a 24.75 inch scale length and since this was an earlier guitar without a steel reinforced neck or a truss rod I installed a 1/4" square steel tube to stiffen the neck a bit.
I gave it a venetian cutaway and painted The
binding is not real just painted on like a harmony should be.
I installed dog-eared P-90's, a tunematic
bridge on a cocobolo base, and Shaller tuners. It took me about 6 months
of saturdays to really get it finished but It was a labor of love.
This deserves a replay:

The "Jizzcaster" 3 Pickup Silhouette Solidbody
I received detailed information on this guitar, we had some sort of glitch in my computer and the information went into cyberspace! I am happy to inform you, I will get a new computer soon. But, if the person who emailed me with the information will send it to me again, I will drop everything and post it the moment I receive it.

Technical Tip
Before attempting to modify your instrument, wait for three days after you come up with the idea before you actually start the work. In this way, you will have thought everything through before attempting the modification. This will either keep you from screwing up a good instrument, or will help you come up with the perfect idea so your modification is a good job. Either way, you win!
A Great New Look
This is an H78 that has a new black paint job. It sets it off well
It's The Famous Harmony "Spider Man Model!
Well, not exactly. This is a custom job done on an oriental classic style Harmony guitar.
This is a most unique paint job!
What is wrong with this picture?
This guitar will need more than a picture of super hero "Spider Man" to save it from sure damage!
use steel strings on a guitar designed for nylon and silk strings. You will damage the top of the guitar, as it is not braced properly for the higher tension of steel strings!
